Epic browser is a free and open source web browser designed mainly for Indians. The browser is completely made in India. Powered By Mozilla Epic is rich in features that provide a great user experience.
The browser supports most of the Indian languages and also provides an editor to write text in different Indian languages. It has a unique side bar which has links to various popular websites such as Facebook, twitter, yahoo etc.
Also the side bar contains links to most common application such as Explorer, To-do List etc. You can also create office document within the browser itself. The side bar provides variety of applications to do common task.
Developed on Mozilla platform the browser works similar to Mozilla Firefox. The GUI is somewhat like Google Chrome but search bar is not embedded in the address bar. Like Chrome and Firefox, Epic also supports add-ons and graphical themes. So that you can customize your browser as you want.
Features include tabbed browsing, spell checking, incremental find, live bookmarking, a download manager and private browsing users.
Epic is currently designed for Microsoft windows only but in future, it will be available for Linux, Mac also. It has built in antivirus which scans the downloads automatically. It also provides anti phishing protection.
